Manitou M
With their combined simplicity and power, the Manitou rough terrain forklifts are indispensable allies for your site.
Manitou, world leader in rough terrain handling
Since the birth in the 1950’s of the first Manitou truck, the MC5 based on the idea of Marcel Braud, Manitou has been focussed rough terrain handling machines. In 1969 Manitou launched its first 4-wheel driven forklift, the precursor of the current Manitou M forklift range.
With all experience in the years after, Manitou has fine-tuned this product, resulting in the unmatched M series rough terrain forklifts that we see nowadays.
Exceptional rough terrain capabilities
With large diameter wheels, a good load distribution on both axles with central differential locking system and 4 wheel drive the Manitou M forklifts go where no other forklift goes. The width of the chassis and tires ensures stability for maximum safety. The curved counterweight improves the visibility at the rear.
Cabin with panoramic view
The fully enclosed cabin with efficient heating and ventilation offers high comfort. The suspension of the cab reduces vibrations for the operator on rough terrain. The large windows ensure a panoramic view on the load and the surroundings.
Shock absorber
The standard shock absorber technology keeps the load stable no matter the state of the surface on which you are manoeuvring.
Mast recline
Unlike the industrial type forklifts the Manitou M forklift’s mast reclines up to 15 degrees, instead of just 5 degrees at other forklifts. This keeps the load steady on the forks while driving on rough terrain.
Torque convertor or Hydrostatic
The standard torque convertor gives the operator a selection of gears suitable for high performance on all ground conditions. For applications requiring constant speed control, driving and approach precision and repetitive braking the hydrostatic transmission is recommended.
