Choose the right pallet truck
Are you standard Euro-Pallets or a different format? The Manitou pallet trucks come in various fork lengths, fork widths and wheel types. When choosing a hand pallet truck, keep the following in mind:
- The length of the forks and the distance between the forks. The fork length should correspond to the length of your pallets.
- The lifting capacity
The hand pallet truck must be suitable for the heaviest pallets that you want to transport. So take a good look at the maximum weight that you want to be able to move with the truck. - The work environment
Manitou offers specific pallet trucks that are adapted to operating conditions with customized requirements. Think, for example, of stainless steel versions for the food industry and maritime sector. - Lowered or raised pallet forks
For non-standard loads or pallets, there are trucks with special dimensions. For example with extra low forks, but also with high lifting forks to provide an ergonomic working height. - The right wheels
The material of the wheels must match your floors. Different wheels and rollers with specific properties are offered for slopes or rough floors. - With or without feed and output rollers
The infeed and outfeed rollers make it easier to drive the pallet truck over obstacles. They are placed at the end of the forks so that they can easily ride over height differences in the floor.
Different wheel materials
The material of your pallet truck's wheels and rollers can be matched to your floors.
For example, polyurethane and Vulkollan wheels are ideal for delicate floors. Due to the good wear resistance, it leaves no traces, it's quiet and durable. Nylon wheels provide less friction on the floor and are suitable for slightly sloping floors. Rubber wheels are quiet and durable and can be used on almost any floor type.
The number of rollers
Single rollers for smooth floors, double rollers (bogies) for uneven surfaces. The infeed and outfeed rollers placed at the end of the forks also help you to get round obstacles.

Painting
The untreated parts of the chassis and the forks are coated with an epoxy at 250°C: This very high quality finish increases the service life of the pallet truck.
Infeed / outfeed rollers
The infeed and outfeed rollers help the user to move the pallet trucks. Located at the
end of the forks, they make it easier to move between different levels.
Proportional valve pumps
Our pallet trucks feature special pumps to help you to lift the load and reduce effort. The lifting and lowering speed of the forks are altered by the pressure exerted
on the lever.
Optional: Stainless steel
Specially designed for corrosive or very damp environments or those with strict hygiene requirements (e.g. the pharmaceutical, chemical, food-processing and fish industries, etc.).
Optional: Weighing scales
Vital for calculating the weight of your load quickly and easily when dispatching or receiving your goods.
